How many more axed services are we going to see due to escalating fuel costs, wages and free travel for disabled and elderly people.

Are the bus companies not paid for free travel for the disabled and elderly? Why cant we get a return ticket, Isn't that cheaper?

Locally, the bus company (Arriva) issues 'open' singles only (for concessionary travel) that entitle travel to the terminus. I suspect a fiddle . . .
Result will be that subsidies are exceeding budgets and will be withdrawn.
