We had one like this (the Humber Hawk, not the Austin Seven!):- HXN 592 - originally owned by Sir Simon Marks of M&S.
We acquired it from my Grandfather when he died and kept it until it was replaced by another Hawk KJR 202 (Cactus Green) and yet another RNL 369 (Beige and Burgundy). There was yet another with a D suffix registration (Burnt Almond metallic), but I can't recall the rest of the letters and numbers . . .

No, it was before I recommenced carrying a camera.

AFAICR it was outside the Vickers tank factory . . .

I stopped and had a look at it as it was 'unusual'. I was told it was a Land Rover.

The Landmaster is a unique articulated vehicle made for film and used an innovative steering mechanism, which guided the vehicle, not by turning the front wheels, but by bending the vehicle in the middle using rams.
