Oh well, that should have woken up my colleagues in Belfast nicely!! Heck of a thing to come in to just as you're starting your Watch, reminds me of the Swanland slightly.

I'm not familiar with the ferry concerned so am just wondering if it was a relief boat while the usual one is on refit.

The Ferry dwarfs the cargo ship though!! I could hardly see it in the photograph.

I look forward to reading up on the incident when I get back in to work on Saturday, thankyou for posting the links.

A man has been charged with "Excess alcohol, for the Master of a vessel". How much is an excess? Is there a limit, as there is for driving? I should have thought that it would be no alcohol, the same as for (aircraft) pilots.
