For a while, both Ford and Bedford made small tractor units, with Scammell couplings.
'MY' D Serieshad a 10,160Kg G.T.W. and could couple to the same trailers as a Scarab.

Since then, MAN and Volvo have produced small units for the brewery trade, mostly to pull dray trailers.

However, perhaps with the loss of the wool and cotton mills etc., there has been much less need, for such a vehicle.
