Welcome to Truck & Bus, dekkman.

All that I know is that the early ones were fitted with full-power hydraulic brakes (ie a pumped system).

I don't know whether yours will have this system.

A very warm welcome from the Sunny Isle of Anglesey, Dekkmann.

It's unusual to see the headlamps in the bumper and not in the front panel.

Firstly a warm welcome to the forum.

Secondly, whilst I have driver 2-3 Terriers, I do not claim to know anything about the mechanicals of them.
The ones I drove had a "normal" truck type handbrake lever.
I would say, looking at the attached piccygraphs, that the front bumper is not an original. Indeed, it might not even be from a Terrier. Compare it with this http://www.truckandbusforum.com/gall...date=lastvisit
Also, I don't recall seeing that type of indicator fitted to Terriers, here, in the UK. The sidelights are similar to those that we have seen, of trucks on Malta.
Lastly, and this is only my impression, this might be an early model. Notice the difference, unser the windscreen, compared with mine.

I knew something was different about the front of the Danish Wagon.

This looks like a Leyland 'Pilot' cab version (1970 - 1975) rather than the later G-cab version (1975 - 1980).

See:- http://www.aronline.co.uk/blogs/2011...-light-trucks/
(scroll down)

I see that the Terrier name (which had been used for an 11-ton payload six-wheeler before the War) was used to designate the lighter models with the name Laird used for larger models. (?)

Your model is 750TR and chassis number 415427.

B28L/17069 will be the build code and will probably include the original colour.

It was built in April 1971 (4.71).

51VD/1508ZG/2465? is the VIN (a unique Vehicle Identification Number) which will define where it was built (and by whom) and, when.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle...nts_of_the_VIN

Maybe Audiman can be more specific?

Edited to add that your vehicle was built before the VIN was standardised, and, from 1954 to 1981, there was no accepted standard for these numbers, so different manufacturers used different formats, so the above Wiki article doesn't apply!
