The gearbox / transaxle is the same as a GT40 (although ratios might be different!).

Parts list here:- http://www.rbttrans.com/

Spares will be available from ZF in Nottingham.

Hi Robbie, When I worked for Stanwell Buses ( A subsidiary of London Buses ) we ran several CVE Omni-buses - but sorry to say they were not a great success. The original Freight Rover engine and drive train gave constant trouble - both were replaced useing a Perkins engine and a ZF auto box. But the whole bus was not up to the task of being on the road 12 or more hours a day 6 days a week - so they were withdrawn from service after a very short life. I know that CVE ceased production some time ago, but most if not all the parts used on these buses were easily available from various suppliers and motor factors. Regards, Coachman.

Hello Ronnie
We have a large number of new and used spare parts for a C V E omnibus, 2 and 3 axle vehicles. A 2axle version was broken up for parts, which includes a Mazda engine, 4speed g/box, all running gear, body panels, and electrics.
We also have a 3 axle version, converted into a motorhome, powered by a turbo, intercooled Mazda engine, with a six speed gearbox. This vehicle is currently in use, and open to offers. For further information , contact me on 07842818979, and we will help if we can.

It seems that searches 'lose' their trace (or are specific to a user - you'd need to ask Ian about that).

I can't remember what the title was - I'll see if I can resurrect it . . .

This should do it:- http://www.truckandbusforum.com/gall...ge.php?i=11303

CVE OMNI spares for sale

Hello everyone,
I recently broke my old CVE OMNI & have a stockpile of parts to clear from my Garage before I move house, Parts include..

Front suspension arms with twin shock absorbers

at least 2 air compressors

a pair of rear air suspension control units

6 steel wheels with good tyres

A Quaffe 6 speed LSD gearbox

Chevrolet 6.2 V8 Diesel engine with converter plate for gearbox

a pair of front seat turntables

various pieces of aluminium floor track including seat & wheelchair clamps

2 speedometers

All the side windows & front wedge glasses with seals (No front screen it got broken)

2 opening roof vents

almost new clutch master cylinder & clutch (done less than 1000 miles)

various clocks & switches

If you are interested in anything make me an offer, everything must go one way or another, I would rather that they went to someone who can use them but if not I will weigh the scrap metal in & skip the rest as I don't want to move them to my new premises.

I recently posted a picture of a CVE Omni which appears to have been dumped just off a roundabout on the A259 near Littlehampton. It had police stickers on the windscreen and by the looks of it has been used as a living van before being abandoned.
