Desktop v's Laptop

I have always avoided laptops and treated them as troublesome little devils, to be fair desktops are not without their problems but at least you can get into them and change parts easier.

Are laptops as troublesome as I think?

Is it that we wear nothing under our kilts (even in this weather)

Now that you mention it, I am sure you are right.
Something to do with the prohibitive cost of underpants, I believe. Gotcha

Could be a case of not allowed to Energumen -

The uniforms worn by members of several military regiments mandate "no underwear" with the kilt except at specified occasions. As a result, to go without underwear is often referred to as going "regimental", this is similar to the American military expression of going "Commando".
Even in the 1950's, kilted soldiers on parade would be checked by the Sergeant Major using a mirror on the end of a stick.
