Train driver injured after collision with truck in northern Stockholm (Sweden)

http://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/article14342910.ab

A northbound train on the railway Roslagsbanan collided with a truck at 7:20 this morning. The train dragged the truck for about 60 metres before it came to a halt.
The driver of the train had to be cut out from the wreck and after two hours he was rushed to hospital by helicopter with serious injuries.
As the train was norhtbound and the rush hour is southbound there where only 10 passengers aboard, none of them was seriously injured.

The accident will be investigated by the police, Roslagståg, Swedish Accident Investigation Board and Swedish Transport Agency.

Loads of crashes this morning as early morning rain fell onto frozen ground (and cars).

Everywhere looked wet, but my car had a quarter inch (6mm) of ice all over it - no way in!

In the crash at Blaydon, one driver got out and was hit - throwing him off the flyover.

A lot of crashes in Sweden too. The buses on their way to drive replacement traffic for the train was delayed due to a road accident.

The train traffic will be closed on part of the line for towing of the truck and the train, and for repairs of the overhead lines.

Coincidently, where the Stobart driver was standing during the interview used to be railway line. The Stainmore Route, as featured in this. http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...24l224l2-1l1l0
