Photos of some unusual vehicles.

Whilst surfing for something that I can't remember - oh yes, it was chinese-six Bedford trucks (not the VAL) - I happened upon this collection of photos by Len Rogers:- http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/len_rogers.htm

Too many to comment on, but there is a Volvo F7 8-wheeler . . .
Can't be too many of those, Shirley?

Probably not too many left working for a living. There were several around Keighley, (West Yorkshire) working as tippers. They were quite popular amongst the drivers who had had Octopus, Mammoth Majors and Defenders etc.

There are a lot of firms on there that have ceased trading, changed names or merged with others and lost their names. Some wagons that I knew, too.

That is a fantastic collection of trucks and has some of the finest trucks I have ever seen – in fact; I’ve never seen some of those on the roads!! It is amazing that we have so many of them on the roads and yet don’t get to identifying them here!! I am sure that some of them have disappeared from the roads now!!

Hmm! I wonder whether these vehicles are still intact as they don’t run in roads right now!I think most of these trucks are indeed considered to be a collector’s item just like a vintage. Anyway, I have to say this is a really good collection of trucks which I haven’t seen until now!

Great to see these G-CPTN, brings back some memories. Just shows how they have changed over the years.
Glad he has recorded them for prosperity
