My log in name is a tribute to a Southern Irish driver I met in the late 60's when he used to travel Liverpool/Dublin on the B&I ferries. My late father worked for them initially at Carriers Dock then Trafalgar Dock. I can remember the long queues lined up on the dock road to be tipped when I started working there in '74. Many happy days then for a youngster with the opportunity to have a go in brand new cars on their way to Dublin as well as Leyland bus chassis and the popular Bedford TK.
There was no elfin safety then but we're still here
