Tower cranes
I know that we have at least one member knowledgeable about cranes, so my question is about tower cranes.
When a tower crane is installed on a construction site, do they sink a foundation? If so, how is it fastened to the structure?
Are modern tower cranes operated remotely from the ground? Are they electric?
Attached is a photo of one with little obvious visible support (IMO).
