I cannot find my TK(MK) manual (I went to where it should be and it wasn't there!), and my memory doesn't recall where the multiplugs are located (it has been 40 years since I was closely involved, and I was only supervising, not doing the actual manual work myself) - hopefully,
mylesdw will be along soon with his recent experience before you take the un-necessary step to sever the harness - it certainly shouldn't be necessary and will introduce difficulties beyond essential work.
