Great stories and I for one am very much looking forward to the forthcoming uploads over the next few days (weeks perhaps?)
A while since I've been to Australia but did also pick up the attitude about anything 'non-Kenworth' too. Anything from Europe was distinctly shunned for the very reasons you give. (Must say though when I was hitching it was only drivers of European makes that picked me up...!)
