Looking at the photograph of your F16 (and the Norwegian website of 70s and 80s trucks) I was aware that it isn't that long ago (at least it doesn't seem so) that 7 litres was the norm, now we have 16 litres (an have had for some time).

Where will it end? Will we get 20 or even 24 litre engines at any time soon?

I'm talking about 'line trucks' rather than dedicated heavy-haul, but maybe the F16 was originally conceived for heavy-haul? Certainly, the first one in the UK (that I had to 'certify' for use because of the torque-convertor transmission) was a 100 tonner that was destined for heavy-haul.

Maybe we could have a thread about engine size?
