Cab suspension

It would be interesting to analyse the development from rigidly-mounted cabs (and seats) through Bostrom seats and the early bouncy suspended cabs like the Ford Transcontinental and Renault Magnum to whatever is the current state of the art.
Anybody like to comment?

I never drove a ford trancontinental but i remember reading a funny line from a driver who said that there was so much cab nod on a ford trancontinental that if u stopped real sharpe u could read your own front numberplate.

Was it not the Foden S24 that had the first UK tilt cab, 1962 I think.
