Another hello from Sweden
Having also seen the link to here in a thread by BoBjork on the Railway Forum,
I thought I'd also register. I'm a Londoner originally but I've lived in Sweden since 96.
My father was a long-distance lorry driver up to 1974, in the early 60s he'd been a tipper driver on 8 wheel Fodens, Guys and ERFs and the like. And as I child in the early 70s I used to go to work with him on occasion. Sometimes in an AEC, sometimes a flatbed Bedford TK, sometimes one of the Leylands, sometimes a Ford.
Later when I was in the RAF Regiment in the early 80s we were still using Bedford RLs as were most military units.
In the mid 90s one of my brothers was driving Routemasters in central London, on routes 23 and 7 - out of the Westbourne Park garage.
