CVE Omni Bus - Clutch Master Cylinder
 

Hi,

I have found this forum while desperately searching to try and find out what type of clutch master cylinder was used in my 1991 CVE Omnibus.

Does anyone know?

I will attach a photo of it just in case there were different ones used over the years.

Almost certainly disposed of by now, but might be able to advise source if you PM the member.

Much of the mechanicals were Freight Rover or Land Rover I believe - so try a commercial vehicle motor factor.

There are also people who will recondition master cylinders including reboring.

I presume that you have considered a repair kit of seals?

You would need to remove the existing seals and take them to a motor factor for matching.

Any decent motor parts factor should have staff able to identify parts from photographs or the physical part - especially if there is an older member of staff.

The good news is that I have now managed to find out where it comes from.

I thought it only fair to post up here so that any other poor soul in the future doesn't have to spend so much time!
