i remember that being shown on T.V, he had not long passed his HGV2 at the time and loved driving trucks for fun. I read an article about his great interest in cars and he made a film for T.V about the ' Bentley Boys ' in which he played the part of Tim Birkin the man famous for racing supercharged ' Blower Bentley's ' in the 1930s.

Didn't know about the 'Bentley Boys' - will have a look for that.
Isn't R.A. well known for piling up his McLaren F1?

The music track to this advert was released as a single and I bought a copy! (Sad eh?) It was pressed in brown vinyl as a "collectors item" but even more rare are ones pressed in brown vinyl, but are the same shape as a chunk of Yorkie. Sadly, I didn't manage to get one of those.:)

I got a free record of "I'm a Happy DAF Truck Driver" in an early '70s edition of Truck magazine. One of those floppy 7" singles.
