Quest cancel Fruehauf trailer contract

http://www.fruehauf.co.uk/products/rental.htm

After weeks and months of problems, we have decided to pull out of our rental package with GT Fruehauf trailers.

They wouldn't commit to their policy and we ended up paying more on the loopholes of maitenance costs and repairs including replacing tyres, we might have well just paid for the monthly finance package it felt the same as if we owned them anyway when it came to insurance and running costs.

After 28 years as a solely fruehauf trailer user (as we loved the drums rather than disc brakes) we have decided to look for another manufacturer. so we are just using the half pipe trailers for now and walking floors that we currently own. these are also fruehauf trailers but no older than 2006.

so there you go..it's just abit of a shame how costermer loyalty,no matter how loyal doesn't wash or stand for anything.

It seems that customer loyalty stands for nothing these days. Shopping around is the answer and to h*ll with those who don't make the grade. Sad.

Hi coastie hows things..
ye am surprised to be honest, because the women who works there as a sales executive iv known since she was 6 or 7 years of age.
so they have been like a family run bussiness like our own, however you would think in these current economic times, that, that is what companies would dream of, a costomer base.

but nevertheless this seems to be the way it works, your either wanted as a customer or not, it seems your picked nowadays rather than treated like some sort of human. they seem to forget your the one paying for them to stay in their jobs.
it's like your doing them a favour for buying something, it's ridiculous.

I'm fine thankyou, how's yourself? (apart from p*ssed off!)

No no one seems to care for loyalty at all these days. We must be old fashioned in thinking that it does.

am not pissed off as such, just disapointed. i am sorry if it cam accross as a rant in your direction or anything..

coastie 17th June 2011 10:27

The Irish fast Ferry Jonathan Swift is just coming in from far out having given the Stacks (North Stack and South Stack) a wide berth due to the weather. I wouldn't like to be on her today, give me the Ulysses!!

The two big ferries are just loading.

quest-uk 17th June 2011 14:02

Ulysses i remember being on that a good ten years ago 2001 august, i went to galway.
but we drop our trailers for the isle of wight ferry, that was good. you should put some pics up, is the norfolk line dfds ferries still shipping trucks from there to dublin?

coastie 17th June 2011 15:01

The only ferries that run out of here are Stena and Irish Ferries.

The Jonathon Swift had to stand off for about 40 mins as she couldn't berth.
