New crash tender for Manchester Airport.
 

As reported elsewhere, Manchester Airport is acquiring a new 'huge fire engine'.

I cannot find any details of this (yet). The existing machines are 3-axle Reynolds Boughton Barracuda / Carmichael Cobra 2s I believe.

However, during my search I found:-
(there is no suggestion that this is what Manchester Airport have chosen)

I wonder what the parameters are for Manchester's new appliance?

That's just a 'conventional' turntable ladder rather than a specialised crash tender . . .

Is it true that an airport must have at least two working fire engines or nothing flies in/out.
