thankfully rare, but ive seen fitters bring out double deckers to drivers with problems or break downs on routes with low bridges many times during my 13 years with national bus co [ united automobiles .north east .peterlee ] .busses are normally allocated to a run by expirienced staff each morning. closed roads can also throw a bus of route, but the driver must still be on the ball or crunch.
