A 16-year-old youth is in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by a double-decker bus in Glasgow.

Obviously (?) traffic and population densities have increased over the decades, but I wonder if the frequency of such incidents as this have increased proportionately, or whether greater awareness of traffic (such as the green cross code and similar campaigns) has kept this down?
