Arriva are to hive off the southside services 602 and 604 to Go North East and 'withdraw' the 685 service to Newcastle base. This means that early morning and late evening journeys will be cut as buses wil now start and finish in Newcastle.

Sunday services, which currently alternate between 602 and 85 (with drivers changing destination signs at Hexham) can no longer operate as they will be different operators).
