We have a similar situation (potentially) nearby.
The bus company (Arriva) have dumped their minibuses and now use a midibus - or usually a full-sized bus - on a winding country lane that has become quite busy recently (increased traffic in the region). In addition, the hedges have encroached significantly (lack of maintenance) and it's probably just a matter of time before something happens (a collision) and Arriva decide that for the handful of passengers the amount of hassle just ain't worth it.
Such is life . . .
