What next, the first bin lorry i remember had a step across the back the men stood on they never got in the cab :rolleyes:

A company I worked for was very good with all the legal and politically correct side of things then one day a retired ex-worker put in a claim for ‘white finger’, never found out if he was successful but soon after that those who had been with the company for a number of years were told to go to their doctors and full medicals were paid for.

And they lifted the bins and threw the rubbish in the truck, didn't wear gloves, masks, overalls, wore shorts in summer got on with the job and didn't complain.

Now we get sticky labels saying that the bin is too full! All they have to do is wheel the bl**dy thing!!

Our local authority (which has just become 'unified' - ie the district council has been abandoned in favour of the County Council) has announced that anyone 'contaminating' recycling bins with none-recyclable items will (on the third transgression) have their bin 'removed' and have to pay £35 to have it returned. In addition to imposing a £20 charge for 'garden waste' they are discouraging recycling (and flytipping).

The flytipping has already started here.

Course it's full that why it's at the f$££*ng kerbside.:(

Ah yes, but can only be full up to a certain level, anything more than that has to be kept over untill the next collection................in a fortnights time!! By which time there is enough to overfill TWO bins!! This Country is going to the dogs (or should that be rats?)
