What height?
A member of another forum wants to move an 'unusual' vehicle. Weight isn't a problem (3.5tonnes) but it is 12.2m long, 1.9m wide and 3.1m high.
What are the typical internal dimensions of a standard supermarket trailer? - or the sort that Eddie Stobart use? The best suggestion so far is 'boat-transportation' IMO (that is transportation of boats - not by boats). |
A "normal" curtain sided or box van trailer is 13.6mtrs long. 9ft 6ins internal height (call it very nearly 3mtrs) and 2.5mtrs wide. Give or take a couple of millimetres here & there.
Are we allowed to know what the load is? |

There are taller trailers, or if needs be, and the load will stand it, a flat trailer. |
It is a 24-person cycle.
Similar to this:- http://www.christie.nhs.uk/press/2001/19092001.aspx though the height quoted is puzzling (and a request that it should be checked has been made). Thanks for the dimensions BTW. |
Use a lowloader. no problems with any of your sizes, will be expensive though.

Why it is so tall:- http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/image...53_bike203.jpg
I've suggested this:- http://www.raf-lichfield.co.uk/Alber...n_mary_lge.jpg |
I would have thought that cost shouldn't be a big issue. I'm sure that one of the big hauliers, Stobart, TNT, etc., could be persuaded to move it in a sponsership deal.
