School bus run firm's fleet cut
 

A bus company is ordered to reduce its fleet from 10 to four because of its poor maintenance of buses used to ferry children.

I appreciate that reducing the number of vehicles is a punishment, but it screws-up the schools contracts.
Our local authority has just re-allocated the schools contracts (and caused chaos):-

Although its fleet will be reduced from 10 to four vehicles for 12 months the firm will use a sub-contractor to help it to honour the five school service contracts.
