Leyland Bus hand brake

I have just joined the forum I own a 1984 Leyland tiger bus I have converted into motor home. I have a problem with the red brake light stays on after the air has reached its Max the hand brake lever just flops back and forth with no resistance can someone please help. The strange thing is I can still drive it with the light on
