Erf

One for the search squad,
Is there a photo of a Semi-Forward Control ERF on the Forum, they had a short 'stubby' bonnet.

I don't think the search function is working properly.

I believe the model is 66GSF.

Presumably the 66 is for six-wheeler, G for Gardner and SF for Semi-Forward control, so maybe there would be other variants?
Presumably, the extended bonnet is to accommodate an 8LXB and extra cooling.

Apparently not - the engine was 6LW, 6LX or Rolls Royce and it was nicknamed Sabrina - for obvious reasons.

Quote:

The 'Sabrina' name was used from day one for the semi-forward control KV cab at ERF,even by Peter Foden himself and as David Powell rightly suggests it was conceived for the brewery trade designed for a brewery who wished to carry a crew of a driver and two draymen, the lack of an engine hump made it possible to fit a single and a double width seat.

That's the one, I don't remember ever seeing a post of one on here!

Thanks G-C
