Intro

Hi everyone, Im new here and am exited to join. I have an 2000 IVECO euromidi 30 seat coach and find it difficult to find any information about it. I hope to make some good friends here.

While Im here does anyone know where I might find a wiring diagram for it?

heres the details : year 2000
Model: EUROMIDI (30 seats)
Reg: W30 BCL

Its based on an Iveco Eurocargo chassis and has a 5.9L Cummins diesel engine.

Thanks for reading this

Hi. im new too. We have loads of service manuals for various coaches at work so when i go back after easter i will hunt through. will let you know if i find any info.

That would be great, I have no circuits or wiring diagram.

I have a few pointers though. A friend suggested that there may be a couple of battery 'safety' relays (one for each battery) and sure enough, near the batteries there are a couple of black boxes that could be relays as they used to click but now they dont.

The friend also said that he knew of a known fault of relays burning out on IVECO coaches, showing the faults described. Although he didnt know for sure because he had never worked on any coaches.

I am hoping it is something easy like that.

Just for info: It is a year 2000 Iveco Ford Euromidi 30 seat coach. 24v electrical system

Thanks for anything you can find out. (BTW if they have anything manual wise, relating to the coach that they want to sell, let me know, I am willing to pay for any such things)

Thanks

Steve

Had a good look through all the manuals but couldnt find one that is suitable for you. What type of "master switch" does it have? electric switch on dash or manual Battery guard type switch?

Hi
Thanks for looking. It has a mushroom emergency stop switch on the dash board but has two black boxes mounted near the batteries, which used to click like a relay. I spoke to a 'stagecoach' mechanic and he suggested that because it was a PSV, these may have been fitted as a 'safety' relay for each battery, by the operator, which is why I cant find any reference to them anywhere. He said he had known it before and this would also cause the faults. He also suggested 'shorting' the relays with a 30amp fuse. Not sure about that but its another avenue to explore.
Once again, thanks for looking

Im imagining the mushroom switch on dash is for an emergency stop only? I take it the vehicle is "isolated" by just stopping the engine rather than a bus or coach that has a master switch.

There is a sticker on the dash saying that emergency stop is on the key, apparently the label is another PSV requirement but there is no hard switched isolator anywhere, just these relays near the batteries, I assume one for each battery.

Taking voltage samples around the dashboard, there is no power anywhere except fot a lead going to the Tacho. Thats it, no lights, nothing, just like an isolator switch has been turned off but there is not one around. The batteries are fully charged, good earth etc, just no power getting anywhere.

Do you think the ignition barrel may be faulty?
