Double axle German Truck WW2
Hello.
I was trying to identify a German Truck used in WW2. Unlike the Opel Blitz, it has a dual rear axles. I know Hanomag, Bussing and MAN all supplied heavier style truck sfor the German Army. Anyone know where I could find some reference photos ? Thanks. Paul. |
Believe the Krupp Kfz and the Steyr 640 were 6x4, would help if we had your truck photo to work with.
Have a look at these http://images.google.co.uk/images?nd...s&start=0&sa=N |

I would venture to suggest it might be at the end of the war and the truck may be an American Diamond T, Kenworth or the like the back box suggests a wrecker with a boom pointing rearwards. The tank is a Jagdtiger Heavy Tank destroyer the most powerful amoured vechicle of ww2...Regards Alan

They reckon only three Jagdtigers survive; they are on display in military museums in USA, UK and Russia
