When I was on shift it was a common practice to use a bus to go and collect any workmates from home if for any reason they did not have their own transport to get to work in. I don't know what the inspector would have made of that, plus all the other things that went on. Things such as running the wife and kids home after a days shopping. The best one was I think was using a bus to take one of the engineers and his wife to the airport when they went on holiday. Not that I would ever dream of doing such things of course, it was the others.

A similar situation could be arranged when 'testing' a truck.
Acquiring a load of gravel or paving slabs and dropping them off was all part of a realistic test . . . |
