The problem with Biggar Rally is that the vehicles are crammed tightly together.
When I found the TK, the people with truck next door were 'in the picture'.
I intended to return and take a properly-framed photograph, but my daughter and my grandson turned-up and I got dragged away to go around the (very large) site and I forgot, thinking that I had already taken a presentable photograph.

I must clean the focussing ring (or use a different lens) as the autofocus was sticking.

Really nice to meet you and have a chat(next year I will have the caravan there so we can have a cuppa and hopefully a bit more time to natter)Love the photos they certainly show the wee lorry at its best(the sunshine also helped)The thing l like about Biggar is it seems to attract proper enthusiasts who all have great stories to tell.BTW the lorry never missed a beat on the 100 mile trip which for me is the best part of the day, only made better as my mate brought his families 1936 Albion which they have owned from new which also drove faultless
Cheers Tommy

My son-in-law started his working life as a truck driver (mainly moving heavy horses).
Now his hobby is showing heavy horses, so he has his own horsebox.
He has a yearning to recreate the cattletruck that his father had on their farm (a wooden cattle-float on a flatbed Albion), so he spent some time inspecting this:-

My mates Albion SX 4918 was originaly a cattle float, new to his grandfather in 1936 who traded as D&J Sibbald Whitburn they have since moved to Bathgate but still going strong(not the grandfather)unfortunally the demountable body is long gone but it still looks good with its period flatbed.
cheers
