25th May 2011 13:11Mr-TomcatHi Mike:
No you've not upset me at all, in a way Leyland set the wheels turning for badge engineering, by selling a more superiour product and passing it off as their own, which we know it wasn't, a bit like the E.R.F you posted recently, as much as I enjoyed driving them they were just E.R.F badged M.A.N's. Don't ask what started me on the AEC road, I can in all honestly not tell you. But I do know far more about the marque than any other, and buy book's if I'm able. An owner of a classic AEC in the UK is not able to tax an AEC as an AEC, it has to be taxed as a Leyland AEC, which is wrong really as up untill 1962 they were a seperate company in their own right. No mate nothing wrong with a good debate, a lot of people can't and won't hold their heads above water during one, and of course I have a partner in crime in the form of Chris Coastie, who also helps me as I do him on another forum, so you keep posting your brilliant pictures.
All the best,
Andy. -

23rd January 2011 09:23hiliftaGidday Paul, I did see your truck there, but I think from memory there too much action around it. For obvious reason I have to keep the photography a bit low key, so try not to get in the way.
I do have shots of your truck on a couple of occasions, one at Fergy with 40ft flat with pipes and another when you spent half a day loading some sort of "junk". If you look on my list under hilifta, all in alpha order, so scroll to Kenworth, you'll find them there.
My email is [email protected]
I'd love to hear from you.

15th January 2011 04:34hiliftaHi Joe,
I thought I may have had this one but unfort I have another of their trucks. But if I see it I'll sure take it.
I have previously asked you about trucking web site especially Aust and Kiwi trucks. Do you know of any that have good res photos. All the one I've seen so far have very low res photos, especially the "Hanks" site in the states.

14th January 2011 04:54huppypuppyBefore I forget - I am chasing some pics of Fluidex Truck #8, a Cummins ISX powered International 9400i, plated BET836, aka "Grandad's Mobility Scooter", driven by the one and only Vic Hungerford - if you see it, can you please get some pics and post them here if you have not done so already!

14th January 2011 04:45huppypuppyMate, the date stamp is inbuilt into all Kodak cameras - you just need to go into the menu and set the date!

5th January 2011 00:05hiliftaCome on, you do all the talking, I'll do the photography!!!
Got some to post today actually.
Got a question for you though, did those date stamps on your photos go on by accident. When i bought my Nikon F5, a mate had a "fiddle" with it and unknown to me he turned the date option on. Jeez I was annoyed, all my remaining photos in Hong Kong and Singapore had that on them.
