Commer Avenger Chassis

I've got a model of a chassis and curious as to what it is . I have been told it's a Commer Avenger... very detailed but some parts have become detatched.. I'm going to restore it..any comments welcome !

That engine looks to me like a petrol engine(with distributor and ignition coil).

Yep appears to be petrol..were Commer Avengers petrol?

There would always be an option, in fact petrol might have been 'standard' until diesel became popular.

What puzzles me is the photographs seem to show a mid-engined bus chassis - I'm not familiar with Commer bus chassis, but this suggests that the Avenger was an underfloor design:-
