Incidently, the first post said that the heoght of the Gilford was 12' 11". Wasn't their a bus made for Barton's that was only 12' 6"? A Northern Counties bodied Dennis Loline IF my memory serves me right.
There is a suggested link between Gilford and Sentinel through Gilford (HSG) Ltd which was amalgamated with Sentinel in 1938. Gilford (HSG) was set up by the owner of High Speed Gas (Great Britain) Ltd as a subsidiary to build chassis for gas producer units in the old Gilford Park Royal factory. It retained the Gilford name but there is no direct link getween Gilford (HSG) and Gilford
