Hi to you all

Hi to you all esp all ex truckers[lorry drivers,old school] who have done their bit for the haulage industry my what a hard shunt it was.knees gone, back gone.hair gone,but i would have not have changed a single day of it.all new stuff digi tachos etc all for the good .no more black cut hands after sheeting and ropeing.after 15tons of handball2x eight panal sheets 2x 4panal sheets,bag of wood chocs for paper reels4/ chains and snappers for steel loads/ timber under the trailier legs for timber loads,if you did not have the equipment no loads/loading bricks out side the kilns stillwarm and full of dust./red hot cement bags at cement works/ evry day was a challange if you were on general haulage/ no showers/ no mobiles/,no money/,**** digs/fatty greasy food/,no sleeper cabs and yes stealing spare tyres diesel and loads was all around in the 50s 60 s 70 s 80s nothing new.if you did not like it [your work conditions you knew where the gate was],good old days[not].so allyou young truckers who moan about anything, silly things think again.its not perfect yet it never will be however you have forums like this to air your grivencies
