London buses withdrawn due to dangerous conditions

Transport for London said all London buses had been withdrawn from service due "to adverse weather and dangerous driving conditions",

As a child the stories of the winter of 1947/8 would get an airing at the first sign of snow.
I now find myself doing the same about the winter of 1963 and the frost of 1982 (think it's 82)
