First Aid Kits - what do you think?

A woman who rushed to help an injured pensioner on Tuesday was shocked to discover that buses do not carry first aid kits.
Ms Busbridge found there was no first aid kit on the bus and drivers are not trained in first aid and cannot treat injured people.

They are a legal requirement on coaches and need to be complete and in date, I always used to put new sealed ones in the vehicles before I took them for their MOT. I am not up to date with the current rules and regulations for drivers but I thought that a recognised first aid certificate was needed as part of a drivers CPC ?

I thought they had to be fitted to all vehicles like buses as well. I know when I used to drive taxi's I had to have one aboard which was complete and in date. If I didn't have one I was in severe trouble with the Council Taxi Office.

There also has to be one fitted in all our Coastguard Vehicles as well.
