Brewster

Hello, peeps. I have an interest in old commercial vehicles which belonged to specific companies local to my home town and district, Leigh in Lancashire, UK. Looking forward to learning from those here how best to trace more information about them.

Hope you can help me?

Thanks for the welcome, Ian.

Just to whet the appetite, some of the companies I'm researching are Leigh Corporation Transport (pre 1968), Lancashire United Transport (pre 1968), George Shaw Brewery (pre 1932) and R. Greens Bottlers (pre 1960).

I'm interested in all aspects including vehicle makes, models, liveries etc...

Banking on some of you have similar interests. The further I go back, the harder it gets!!!

Welcome, Brewster.

I'm afraid I'm unlikely to be able to help with operators in your area, and 1932 is 'before my time' . . .

I do know someone called Brewster who 'curls' for Scotland (or at least he has done in the past). His current interest is 'heavy horses' (of the four-legged variety).

Thanks a mucho for the welcomes. Just looking for pointers. Don't mind doing the graft and certainly not expecting answers on a plate.

I think I'll post some specific questions on the appropriate boards.
