From Downunder - G'day

Hi All... I live in Australia and have a passion for traveling/living in an air cooled kombi (18 yrs-ish)... While I'm an IT geek, I do enjoy pulling everything apart, one of the great thing about the old VW is you can rebuild almost everything on them...

Since I'm not planning on changing my lifestyle I decided it was time to jump in the deep end and enlarge my living space... I've always loved vintage machinery butt decided to be a little more practical (for traveling in)... I bought a 1978 Bedford Durple (<-- body builder) Bus (38ft ish). It is a YMT chassis (just over 12tonne gmv) with Isuzu running gear (engine gear box)... I'm assuming the diff is bedford.

I have worked on 15tonne rockwell diffs before and the maxi? breaks are different... If anyone has an links to info (history or mechanical) I would really appreciate it... most problems like replacing water pump bearing/seals is common sense butt bedford adjusting the park break, replacing the diff center is going to be a new adventure

I know this is kind of a silly question BUTT... what would be the best post specific questions (i don't think 1978 would classify as vintage)...

Ps - as soon as i sort out some sware to convert 5mp photos down in size ill post some of my pics of vehicles from my travels downunder in the gallery
Pss sorry if this is a duplicate post? (1st time got error submitting)
