A4s' goodbye.
Yesterday I went to the Shildon NRM to see the A4s together before they are dispersed again.
I wasn't able to get a decent photograph of them all together as they were parked badly (with ones hidden by others), but the Daily Mail published a decent one:- http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/...14_964x588.jpg (click on the image to enlarge it) From (and more at):- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...f-century.html Here's a link to a video about how they got the two North American A4s to England:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnKVJzfvO4s and here's one 'at speed':- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=runBptNy7_8 More videos here:- http://www.youtube.com/user/NatRailw...w=0&shelf_id=4 Well the thread group heading does say 'Off topic' |

I struggled to get a shot of all of them at York. Fortunately, me camera has a "Panorama" settingwhich helped.
I was that bothered but, as I was at the N.R.M. anyway, it would have been daft not to. The story of the move(s) is well worth a watch.
