Leeds 588

Leeds 588 was rescued/recovered from Halifax recently. YouTube here http://travelwestyorks.proboards.com...overed-rescued

As can be seen, the roof of the building had collapsed.
The vehicle was actually ordered by L.C.T. but, delivered to the West Yorkshire P.T.E. which had taken over running the buses.

The building is a part of the old railway station in Halifax and the museum of the Working Horse was on the same site, at one time.

The roof, and general location can be seen here. http://goo.gl/maps/dpuO8 and here http://goo.gl/maps/gWtO6

Apparently, apart from the broken windows, it is in "nearly as withdrawn" condition. Even down to the period adverts on the side. It had been in that building since, I think, 1993 Part of the problem being access to the building, when it became unsafe.
