I drive a Merc at the moment which is a good enough unit, but if I had the choice I would go for the DAF XF, they pull well and handle well. However one of the best units I had was a Volvo F12, it was at the time, limited to 60mph, but with the hand throttle (primitive cruise control) you could knock a good bit of your journey time, I had this vehicle when I worked with Dennis Mortimer Print services (I wonder if it was the same Mortimer that fina worked for).
