I know this is an old topic, but...

When I was at secondary school I had a 9 mile "commute". A local coach companies used to provide transport (in the years we were not using City of Oxford buses). In my early years we used to get the older buses in the "fleet". 32 Seat Leyland Comet or 33 seat Commer Avenger even a half cab Dennis... all the old stuff. On rare occasions (when they had all the coaches booked I presume) we had the privelege of using a Keith Coaches' (Aylesbury) 36' Cavalier or Grenadier. We could actually all sit down! A completely different world to the usual run of the mill stuff we were provided with.

Another local coach firm (the owner used to drive a coach we went to school on) Motts of Aylesbury used to have a Harrington Legionaire. After its useful life was over it was parked out the back of their original depot. It eventually went so I am not sure what happened to it.

A quick Google search came up with the fact that this was in fact a Thames and apparently went into restoration.
