The Manchester Evening News tells a slightly different story:-
Quote:
On the bus some 12 people, including the driver, were taken to hospital as well as a baby.
Though:-

None of those injured was seriously hurt.
Yet:-
Quote:
"I'm shocked at what's happened," said one 15-year-old passenger when he got off the bus.
Car mechanic Ian Watson, 46, from Old Trafford, who was not involved in the collision, said: "It's lucky no one has been killed or badly hurt. I can't believe how this has happened."
"I drive 10 times a day down this road and the maximum you can do round that corner is 10 miles an hour. That's not a 10-mile per hour crash. This fencing is reinforced for a start and the walls are double or triple skinned because it's an army barracks.
The official account:-
Quote:
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "A number of people on the bus received minor injuries as a result of the incident. The driver suffered minor cuts to the hand. A baby suffered some tiny cuts from shattered glass and a number of passengers suffered from whiplash.
