WH Malcolm has made 10 of its workshop mechanics redundant following a review of its construction division due to the economic downturn.

A spokesman for the Scottish group says the redundancies at the Glasgow site represent only a "slight reduction out of a workforce of more than 2,100".

He adds: "There have been redundancies, but very, very few. Things are tightening up everywhere, for everyone."
