I carry a sleeping bag, some thermal trousers (as used for skiing), a fur hat as well as the usual small shovel, and (since last week) snowsox and snowchains (as insurance).
I'm about to acquire a wind-up torch (high-power LED) and I've already got a small very bright LED lamp (with a magnetic back).

I have my survival kit on board at all times, driving different trucks all the time, it would be daft not to, good job I had it with me on this trip. Bonus on the way back, got paid 8 hours for running in and had my Friday night at home with the family....Result ! :D

Standard equipment, in all of our trucks. They are very handy.

That's what I feared, so why I'm opting for a wind-up one.
