Bus firm unsure of driver's route
The owner of a double-decker bus, which crashed into a railway bridge, injuring 14 children, says he is unsure why the driver took that route.

The vehicle F713 LFG, is a 1989 Scania (D/D Bus/Coach).
So not in its first bloom of youth, then? |
What has the age of the bus got to do with the accident? This is DRIVER error without doubt, as it is the driver that takes the route not the bus.

I searched for the registration as someone here might be able to plot the career of the bus. At the age that it is it can hardly be a great loss to the company (unless they specialise in running old vehicles). That was the purpose of my comment pointing out (though not specifying) that this bus is twenty years old (and was still working - carrying schoolchildren on what appears to have been an outing).
