Bus in service with missing floor
 

A bus driver at Keolis for some reason took a bus, undergoing service, from the workshop and drove it out in service.
The bus, an articulated, was missing parts of the floor in the connection between the front and rear part of the bus, and some seats was not fastened to the floor. The missing floor parts was blocking parts of the isle...
Keolis says that it was a failure in communication between the driver and his supervisor and says that if someone was injured or got their clothes dirty or destroyed they should contact them.

Not an unknown occurrence for something like that to happen in this country believe me. Because bus operators on tendered routes are paid for the miles they run and fined for the miles they don't, there is always a lot of pressure to keep vehicles on the road. When I was at work it was a common thing to have arguments with controllers trying to take unfit buses out of the workshop. To make sure this didn't happen it was almost a standard practice to immobilise unfit vehicles, often just by taking the wheels off and leaving them on jacks over the pits.
